About GasWin 2014

The GasWin 2014 program is a tool that allows for the presentation of data from electronic gas meters (correctors, recorders, etc.) supporting the Gaz-Modem 2/3 and Gaz-Modem 1 protocols. The product is based on the communication modules of the TelWin SCADA Industrial Process Visualization System by TEL-STER Sp. z o.o., which guarantees a proven implementation of Gaz-Modem protocol mechanisms and simultaneously provides a wide range of options for connecting gas meters (direct serial links, dial-up lines, radio, etc., LAN/WAN networks).

The program can support multiple devices simultaneously. It is easy to use and install, offering a clear and intuitive user interface. A significant feature of the program is monitoring current gas parameters and generating warnings about the risk of exceeding declared values (e.g., gas consumption limits). By utilizing Windows database mechanisms for data storage (OLE DB, ODBC, MS Access databases), information retrieved from gas meters is accessible to other independent programs.

How to perform the installation from a distribution disc?

To install the GasWin software, run the setup.exe program from the GasWin2014 directory on the distribution disc. The installation program copies all GasWin program files to the location specified by the user and registers the necessary components in the system. Additionally, a shortcut to run the GasWin program is created in the Start Menu.

How to perform the installation from the Internet?

Download the installation file (GW2014_version-designation_install.zip) from the 'Download' section. After unpacking it, follow the instructions provided for installation from a disc.

How to perform an update from the Internet?

Updates resolve identified bugs and may introduce improvements and new functionalities. Licensed users of the GasWin2014 program are entitled to software updates to the latest version. The update is performed by uninstalling the current version of the program (Control Panel -> Uninstall) and reinstalling the newer version downloaded from the Internet.
